Matthew Meyers is a sports medicine doctor, certified by the International Federation of Sports Chiropractors as a Chiropractic Sports Physician, he also is a clinical nutritionist who works with a wide variety of patients.
A lifelong resident of Fairfield County, CT Dr. Meyers attended Springfield College in Massachusetts where he was a health studies major with a minor in rehabilitation and disability. While at Springfield, Dr. Meyers was on the rowing team and was his team’s captain for his last two seasons. After Springfield, Dr. Meyers went to University of Bridgeport where he earned the level of cum laude receiving his Doctorate in Chiropractic and summa cum laude with his Master’s in Clinical Nutrition.
He continued his education expanding his clinical practice getting full body certified in Active Release Technique. He is Graston Certified as well. He obtained his sports physician designation at New York Chiropractic College. Finally, Dr. Meyers became certified in trigger point dry needling keeping him on the cutting edge of therapy.
Dr. Meyers enjoys working with everyone from families, to weekend warriors to “full-time” athletes. He works extensively with patients to get to the base of their issues looking at them fully from hydration, to food intake, to lifestyle choices weighing these as important basic movement and pain levels. His goal is to educate and empower each person, so they can live an active pain-free life at any age.
